About me as a Lamaze instructor:
I took Lamaze classes with my first baby. My baby’s birth was an unexpected cesarean delivery. I was so impressed how Lamaze helped for the complete birthing process: labor, cesarean and even postpartum, that when my baby was nine months old, I began teaching Lamaze for Merced Community College. Credentials/experience:
Lifetime Credential to teach Childbirth Education in California Community Colleges.
Twenty five years at Merced Community College (budget cuts eliminated the childbirth education program).
Developed and taught Cesarean Birth Classes for Merced Community College and Mercy Medical Center.
Taught breathing and relaxation techniques for the Teen Mother's Program.
 

What is Lamaze?
Lamaze childbirth education began in the 1950’s in France.  In 1960 Lamaze International was formed. The Lamaze Mission Statement: The mission of Lamaze International is to promote, support and protect natural, safe and healthy birth, through education and advocacy and through the dedicated efforts of professional childbirth educators, providers and parents.

My Services:
• I serve the area from Merced to Turlock, California
• Complete course: 12 hours of instruction over the course of several weeks (pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum)
• Abbreviated course: 6 hours of instruction (overview of birth with relaxing and breathing techniques)
• Review class: 3 hours of instruction (review and refresh your previous training in Lamaze techinques)
• Cesarean class: 3 hours of instruction, (relaxing, breathing, delivery, postpartum)

Fees:
Fees are determined by length of class.
